JLS Wins 2016 Helly Hansen Shark Canadian Championship!

August 15, 2016 //  by CSCA VP Communications

Congratulations to Johnathan Livingston Seagull in winning the 2016 Helly Hansen Shark 24 Canadian Championships. The Team of Peter Van Rossem, Melodie Gummer, and Cole Robertson needed the bullet in the final race to clinch the 2016 Canadian title. Tiger Niles claimed second place with Eager for More in third.

The Regatta held Aug 13-14 at Bay of Quinte Yacht Club saw 28 competitors. The first day saw 2 races completed in rainy conditions before the RC called it for the day due to Thunderstorm Warnings and heavy downpours. Sunday saw great conditions allowing for 4 races in challenging oscillatting North-West winds.

Thanks to BQYC for hosting a top notch regatta with great food, live bands, dancing, and prizes for all crew members.
